DIY Summer Ice bucket

June 6, 2014

A cold drink anyone?
One or two.... no problem, they are chilling on the back deck as we sit here and chat on a hot summer day.

I figured it was about time to find a way to keep drinks chillin outside, instead of running back and forth into the house every time I was parched, so I created a striped ice bucket out of an old plant stand and planter.

This was an easy paint and chill project..

Step 1:
Clean off your stuff

Step 2:
Spray paint your stuff one color

Step 3:
Tape off your stuff for stripes and paint in your other color. I choose a color called Eden for my green and white for my stripes.

In between these steps, take the paint off to reveal your stripes.

Step 4:
Ice your drinks

Step 5:
Enjoy a cold beverage...and conversation

Look for more summer inspiration. I am joining up with these bloggers to share some great summer decor and projects. Hope you will visit them all....and have a fabulous summer!
